Institute of Business Development (IBD), Nigeria Joins BDA as a Strategic Alliance Partner
The Business Development Association (BDA®) is pleased to announce that the Institute of Business Development (IBD), Nigeria has officially joined its global partnership network as a Strategic Alliance Partner (SAP).
This strategic alliance reflects a shared commitment to advancing the business development profession through internationally recognised competency standards, professional governance, and institutional collaboration. By bringing together BDA’s global standards framework and IBD’s professional presence in Nigeria, the partnership aims to strengthen the capability of business development professionals and organisations across Nigeria and the wider African region.
As a Strategic Alliance Partner, IBD will collaborate with BDA in promoting professional excellence, supporting knowledge sharing, encouraging thought leadership, and contributing to initiatives that advance business development as a recognised strategic discipline.
The partnership will also support awareness of the BDA Body of Competency and Knowledge (BDA BoCK®)—the global competency framework that underpins BDA’s professional certifications and standards for business development. Through joint professional initiatives, conferences, publications, and other institutional activities, both organisations will work to encourage the adoption of internationally recognised business development competencies and professional practices.
Furthermore, the collaboration will contribute to increasing awareness of the BDA Certified Professional (BDA-CP®) and BDA Senior Certified Professional (BDA-SCP®) certifications, supporting professionals who seek internationally recognised competency validation throughout their careers.
