What qualifies an organisation for BDA Venture Membership?
BDA Venture Membership is open to any registered business entity — including startups, SMEs, consultancies, and agencies — that wishes to align with BDA's global Business Development standards. There is no minimum employee count or revenue requirement. To apply, visit the BDA Venture Member product page or contact the BDA team for guidance.
Can I assign the 4 free certification slots to any employees?
Yes. The 4 free certification slots can be assigned to any employees within your organisation through the BDA Certification Portal. Each slot can be used for either BDA-CP™ (Certified Professional) or BDA-SCP™ (Senior Certified Professional) — and can be split between the two certifications in any combination. Slots must be used within the membership year.
Does the 10% certification discount apply to the 4 free slots?
No — the 4 free certification slots are fully covered by your membership fee; no additional payment is required for those slots. The 10% discount applies to all additional certification exams beyond the 4 included slots, purchased through the BDA Store.
Can I upgrade from Venture to Leader Membership?
Yes. You can upgrade to the BDA Leader Member tier at any time. To upgrade, contact the BDA team. The upgrade will be processed and the additional benefits — including 12 certification slots, 15 individual memberships, 20% discount, strategic consulting, and private events access — will be activated upon confirmation.
Is the BDA BoCK™ included in the Venture Membership?
The BDA BoCK™ is not automatically included in the membership fee. It is available for separate purchase through the BDA Store. The BoCK™ is the primary reference and study resource for all BDA certification candidates — it is strongly recommended that each employee using a certification slot obtains a copy as part of their exam preparation.
How is BDA Venture Membership renewed?
BDA Venture Membership is renewed annually. You will receive a renewal notification before your membership expiry date. Renewal can be completed through the BDA Certification Portal or by contacting the BDA team. Upon renewal, a new set of 4 free certification slots and 4 individual memberships is activated for the new membership year.
