The CSIS™ – Certified Social Impact Supporter accreditation reflects the Business Development Association’s (BDA) commitment to recognizing civil society entities that integrate business development principles into their social and developmental missions. This accreditation is awarded to nonprofit organizations, grassroots associations, local initiatives, or volunteer alliances that implement projects with measurable social impact and a vision for economic empowerment aligned with BDA-BoCK™ values.
CSIS™ focuses on initiatives that aim to:
-
Empower youth and women through entrepreneurship
-
Generate economic opportunities in underserved communities
-
Promote business awareness in marginalized areas
-
Deliver capacity-building or empowerment programs guided by BDA-BoCK™
-
Encourage professional conduct and change-making within social work
This accreditation is not tied to any training or instructional activity. It is based on the actual developmental impact of the entity’s projects over a set period, evaluated using criteria related to reach, sustainability, alignment with BDA standards, and collaborative engagement.
Accredited organizations receive a formal certificate, the right to use the CSIS™ emblem in their programs and reports, and are listed in BDA’s global directory of social impact supporters. They are required to submit an annual initiatives report and demonstrate proper use of the emblem and continuous commitment to professional conduct.
The accreditation is valid for one year and can be renewed based on sustained impact and alignment.
