Recognised Professional Development at Every Level
The Professional Development Provider (PDP) model is designed for organisations that deliver structured learning and professional development programmes in business development. PDP partners receive formal recognition from BDA® for their contribution to advancing the BD profession through quality learning experiences.
PDP programmes are assessed against BDA's competency framework — the BDA BoCK 2026 — ensuring that participants receive development aligned with internationally recognised standards. Professionals who complete recognised PDP programmes earn Professional Development Credits (PDCs), which count directly towards their BDA certification recertification cycle.
The PDP model operates across three levels — Standard, Advanced, and Premium — each reflecting a different scale of programme delivery and depth of institutional engagement with BDA's professional development ecosystem.

Earning PDCs
Professionals earn PDCs by completing BDA-recognised programmes delivered by an appointed PDP partner. Each programme carries a defined PDC value based on its scope and alignment with the BDA BoCK framework.
Recertification Cycle
BDA-CP® and BDA-SCP® holders are required to accumulate a defined number of PDCs within their recertification cycle to renew their credentials and demonstrate ongoing professional development.
PDP Partner's Role
As a PDP partner, your organisation is authorised to deliver BDA-recognised programmes and issue PDC completion records to participants, contributing directly to their professional recertification journey.
Important: PDCs are awarded only through BDA-recognised programmes delivered by appointed PDP partners. The number of PDCs per programme is determined during BDA's alignment assessment and is subject to BDA's governance framework.

What PDP Partners Commit To
PDP partners are expected to maintain the quality and alignment of their recognised programmes throughout the partnership term.
