The Business Development Association (BDA) is a global organization dedicated to advancing the field of business development through the establishment of rigorous standards, comprehensive frameworks, and professional certifications. Founded to empower business development (BD) professionals, trainers, and organizations, BDA provides the tools, knowledge, and resources needed to drive sustainable growth and create lasting value in a competitive global market. At the heart of BDA’s mission is the BDA Body of Competency and Knowledge (BDA BoCK®), a globally recognized framework that defines the critical competencies and expertise required for success in BD roles. BDA also offers internationally accredited certifications, including the BDA Certified Professional (BDA-CP) and BDA Senior Certified Professional (BDA-SCP), which validate the skills and knowledge of BD professionals at both operational and strategic levels.
