Certified Organizational Enabler - COE™

The Certified Organizational Enabler (COE™) accreditation represents a high level of institutional maturity and is awarded by the Business Development Association (BDA) to organizations that go beyond implementing isolated initiatives, and instead adopt a fully integrated and sustainable approach to business development as part of their strategic and operational identity.

COE™ is granted to organizations that demonstrate clear indicators of having adopted a development-enabling infrastructure across areas such as governance, organizational structure, human capital, leadership, performance management, and strategic alignment with the BDA Body of Competence & Knowledge (BoCK™).

Eligible organizations often have:

• A formal business development unit or division

• Clear policies supporting innovation, growth, and expansion

• Direct institutional linkages between operational units and BoCK™ principles

• Development strategies reflected in annual plans and KPIs

• A documented performance system tied to organizational development metrics

This accreditation is highly strategic and positions the organization as a sectoral or national reference in business growth and innovation enablement. It is ideal for large enterprises, leading corporations, government agencies, and innovation-driven institutions aiming to serve as role models in development culture.

COE™ accreditation is valid for two years, includes a mid-cycle performance review, and grants access to the official COE™ certificate, emblem usage rights, and the opportunity to showcase institutional success stories via BDA platforms and events.
