Exam & Eligibility
How do I determine if I am eligible for the exam?
You can review the eligibility criteria for each certification on the Certification Details page on our website. The requirements vary depending on your professional experience in business development.
Do I need to be eligible when I apply, or just before taking the exam?
You must meet all eligibility requirements at the time of application, not just before the exam date.
How do I apply for the exam?
You can apply through the official BDA website by completing the online registration form during the open registration periods.
How do I schedule my exam appointment?
After your application is approved, you will receive a confirmation message containing your voucher ID number and you can begin the online test.
How long is the exam, and how many questions does it include?
The test lasts 180 minutes and consists of multiple-choice questions covering the basic skills and strategies covered in the BDA BoCK modules.
Can I change my exam level after applying?
Yes, you can request a change of test level if you qualify, but the request must be submitted before the test.
Payments & Refunds
How can I pay for the exam?
You can pay using credit cards, bank transfers, or other electronic payment methods available in the registration system.
What is the refund policy?
The test fee is non-refundable, but you may defer the test to another time during the year according to BDA policy.
What if I have an emergency and need to cancel my exam?
In case of emergencies, you can submit an official request to reschedule your exam for the next testing window.
How can I get an invoice or payment receipt?
After completing your payment, you can download the invoice directly from your BDA Certification Portal account.
Retesting & Recertification
What happens if I fail the exam?
You can repurchase the test voucher, keeping in mind that the retest fee is the same.
How long is the BDA certification valid?
BDA certifications are valid for three years from the date of issuance. After that, you must renew your certification.
How can I renew my certification?
To recertify, you can collect 60 Professional Development Points (PDCs) over a three-year period. Alternatively, you can retake the exam if you wish to renew your certification this way.
When can I apply for recertification?
You can submit your recertification request anytime within the last six months before your certification expires.
Digital Badge & Global Recognition
What is the BDA digital badge?
Once you pass the exam, you will receive a digital badge that you can showcase on LinkedIn and other professional platforms to verify your certification.
Is there a fee for using the digital badge?
No, the digital badge is provided free of charge to all certified professionals.
How can I share my BDA digital badge?
You can share your badge via email, social media, or embed it in your email signature.
Can someone else copy and misuse my digital badge?
No, all digital badges are linked to BDA's official verification system, ensuring their authenticity.
