The Recognized Public Development Entity (RDPE™) is an institutional accreditation issued by the Business Development Association (BDA) to public sector entities—such as ministries, government agencies, chambers of commerce, and national initiatives—that demonstrate a concrete and measurable role in supporting business growth at a local, sectoral, or national level.
This accreditation focuses not on internal training or development programs, but on the public role and strategic influence of the entity in fostering economic development, enhancing entrepreneurship, and shaping ecosystems aligned with the BDA-BoCK™ framework.
-
National or regional support for entrepreneurship and SMEs
-
Policy reforms that improve the ease of doing business
-
Publicly funded initiatives that enable growth, innovation, or employment
-
Grant programs, infrastructure support, or public-private collaborations
-
Knowledge platforms or awareness campaigns promoting business skills
Entities that receive the RDPE™ accreditation are recognized as public development forces, often setting national benchmarks or creating enabling environments for the private sector. The accreditation affirms that the public entity’s vision and initiatives are aligned with global development standards.
The accreditation is valid for 2 years, includes a performance review after 12 months, and comes with an official certificate, emblem usage rights, and inclusion in BDA’s global registry of recognized public supporters of development.
