What Is PDP™
BDA-Recognised Professional Development for the BD Profession
The Professional Development Provider (PDP™) model enables training organisations, CPD specialists, and professional development institutions to deliver BDA-recognised programmes and issue Professional Development Credits (PDCs) to participants.
Unlike the ECP™ model, which governs certification preparation, PDP™ focuses on continuing professional education — supporting BD practitioners in maintaining and expanding their competencies throughout their careers.
PDP™ recognition is awarded to institutions that demonstrate genuine commitment to professional development quality and alignment with globally accepted BD competency standards as defined in BDA BoCK™ 2026.

The PDC System
Professional Development Credits (PDCs)
PDCs are the formal unit of continuing professional education within the BDA ecosystem — issued exclusively by BDA-recognised PDP™ partners.
How the PDC System Works
PDCs form part of the broader BDA membership and professional development ecosystem. They are issued exclusively by BDA-recognised PDP™ partners — ensuring quality and consistency across all BDA-aligned professional development programmes.
Programmes must be reviewed and approved by BDA before PDCs can be issued. This ensures that all PDC-bearing programmes meet the quality standards defined in the BDA BoCK™ 2026 framework.
BDA members can log their PDCs as part of their recertification pathway — making PDP™ programmes directly relevant to maintaining BDA certifications.
Formal BDA Recognition
