Official competency definition
Effective communication is the lifeblood of business development. It is the competency that enables BD professionals to articulate value propositions, influence stakeholders, negotiate agreements, and build relationships. In a field where success depends on persuading partners to collaborate, convincing executives to invest, and aligning diverse stakeholders around shared goals, communication is not merely a supporting skill—it is a core competency that determines outcomes.
