BDA Welcomes Institute of Business Development Nigeria as a Professional Development Provider

The Business Development Association (BDA®) is pleased to announce that the Institute of Business Development (IBD), Nigeria has joined the BDA professional development network as an approved Professional Development Provider (PDP).

Through the PDP partnership, IBD Nigeria will provide eligible professional development programmes recognised under the BDA professional development framework, supporting structured competency development for Business Development professionals.

The partnership enables eligible IBD programmes to be aligned with relevant competencies within the BDA BoCK®, BDA’s foundational competency framework for the Business Development profession. Approved programmes may provide recognised professional development hours/PDCs under the applicable BDA framework.

Supporting Continuing Professional Development

The PDP pathway provides professionals with an opportunity to undertake recognised professional development activities that can contribute towards applicable continuing professional development and recertification requirements.

For holders of BDA-CP® and BDA-SCP® certifications, participation in eligible recognised professional development activities may support the maintenance and renewal of their professional development record, subject to the applicable BDA recertification requirements.

Strengthening Business Development Capability in Nigeria

IBD Nigeria brings an established professional development presence in the Nigerian market and a focus on strengthening Business Development capability through professional education and institutional engagement.

As a BDA PDP™, IBD Nigeria will continue developing and delivering its professional development programmes while operating within the BDA recognition framework for eligible approved activities.

The partnership further strengthens opportunities for Business Development professionals in Nigeria and across the wider region to access structured professional development aligned with an internationally referenced competency framework.
